Union Congregational Church
has an active youth program.
Our YOUTH MINISTRY is for
high school youth…
…and the YOUNG DISCIPLES is for youth in Grades 6-8.
The Young Disciples meet
on Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The Youth Ministry meets
on Sunday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The goal of both the Youth
Ministry and Young Disciples is to offer our youth and their friends a place where they can come and grow in their faith and
experience a meaningful sense of Christian community. Each week there are opportunities for fun, fellowship food and service
to the community and wider world.
One week we might be spent
bowling with the residents of the McGlaughlin House which is an assisted living facility for adults who have experienced head
injuries. Another week we might be on a ski retreat in New Hampshire
or hosting a Mother’s Day breakfast before church or watching a movie at a sleep over at the church.
If you have questions about
the Young Disciples or the Youth Ministry please call the church office and speak to Rev. Hughes.

The Rev, just hanging out with some of our youth.
The Youth Ministry and Young Disciples
ended the year with a trip to Six Flags New England. Here Gabrielle and the Rev
pose with a come of famous Six Flags residents.
Our evening of ice skating was a
lot of fun for beginners and our more accomplished skaters. Zoe showed us some
of her figure skating moves. If you click the link below you’ll see here
doing one of her spins.
ICE SKATING AT BURBANK ARENA
It was supposed to be a sleigh ride, but since there was no snow we went on
a horse drawn hay ride instead. The hay ride took us out into the woods where
there was a bon fire waiting for us to make some old fashioned samores.
We welcomed our advisor Kate and
little Michael at a baby shower on October 29.
You can’t have a party without
a cake and some flowers.
Mom and big sister Abby cut the
cake.
The whole gang poses with little
Michael who will be a Young Disciple in 2017. Many thanks to Robyn Biagioni (holding
the baby) for putting the party together!
Some of our proud Youth Ministry
members receive the softball trophy from the REV. The youth defeated their parents and adults of the church this year 6-2.
Some of our Youth Ministry and Young
Disciples display the jack-o-lanterns that they carved with residents of the McGlaughlin House, an assisted living residence
for adults who have sustained head injuries.
Our trip to the Davis Farm Megamaze
was a big hit; especially since it took the REV an hour longer to find his way out of the cornfield than everyone else!
