A huge thank you to everyone who stayed after worship this past Sunday to help with our USPS Food Drive sorting!
Our intergenerational team of volunteers jumped right into action to sort the food collected by our postal workers on Saturday.
Together, we successfully:
Checked expiration dates on hundreds of items.
Sorted donations into categories for easy shelving.
Organized the final haul to be delivered to our neighbors at the North Reading Food Pantry.
It was wonderful to see so many hands, from our youngest Sunday Schoolers to our long-time members, working side-by-side to support our community. Because of your efficiency and spirit of service, we were able to get these essential supplies to the pantry quickly and organized. And a special shoutout to Stacey and Abbey DiCarlo who helped collect the items and begin the sorting process on Saturday so that everything was ready to go on Sunday.
